Campbell County Rotary to Learn Small Business
Success Tactics Author Brad Forsythe to Advise Entrepreneurs on Small Business
Success
Cincinnati, OH – April 26, 2005 – It
takes more than simply passion to successfully start and maintain
a small business. According to Brad Forsythe, local risk management
guru and author of "the road map through the small business
landscape," Bulletproof Your Business, it also takes a proactive
risk management plan. The lack of risk management in a small business
can be devastating, according to Forsythe. Approximately 550,000
small American employer businesses will disappear in this coming
calendar year alone, and Forsythe says he plans to save 1,000 companies
this year alone with his small business consulting.
Local entrepreneurs can learn small business success tips from
Brad Forsythe at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, May 11 at a meeting of the
Campbell County Rotary Club at the Cold Spring Roadhouse, 4210
Alexandria Pike, Cold Spring, KY. The luncheon is $10 and is open
to the business public.
Forsythe will focus on "Business Management: What makes the
best small business run?" Forsythe will share his ideas on
how small business entrepreneurs can use their passion and business
savvy to actively manage risks and successfully fuel their small
businesses. Forsythe says he believes, "All too often, an
entrepreneur gets involved with a business because it is their
passion, then they quickly find that they must spend a majority
of their time dealing with non core competencies."
Brad Forsythe was trained at the Harvard Business School in small
business strategic finance and is a 1975 honors graduate from Augsburg
College in Minneapolis, completing his bachelor's degree in communications.
Forsythe began his career as an incentive travel manager and later
moved to group sales manager within the hospitality division of
American Airlines. In 1981, he co-founded Frequency Marketing,
Inc. and served as its executive vice president overseeing legal,
human resources and risk management. In 2003, Forsythe founded
Best Practice Advisors, LLC., and teaches the professional practice
of risk management for companies with less than 500 employees.
He released his debut book, Bulletproof Your Business - Cutting
Risk for Small Business Owners and Managers, in 2004. More information
can be accessed at www.bradforsythe.com, and the book is available
